I have been a buyer for many months.  I never predicted a 1,000 point drop, but it is very clear to see that if the market started to fade anywhere near support the VIX jumped.  Once we started to fall below critical levels on Tuesday and Wednesday, the VIX popped above resistance.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cheapiv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/vix20100513.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cheapiv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/vix20100513.jpg\" alt=\"VIX\" title=\"vix20100513\" width=\"700\" height=\"362\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-77\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.cheapiv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/vix20100513.jpg 700w, http:\/\/www.cheapiv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/vix20100513-300x155.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThe resistance on the VIX chart was easy to spot, but that resistance could not hold down the fear from the 1,000 drop.
